Despite the fact that Majuro is the country’s largest population center, with about 35,000 residents, the waters are remarkably clear and rich in sea life (especially on the ocean sides and at the main pass, Kalalin).
If you are a certified diver/s you can charter the 25-foot sports boat Wasabi with Captain Cary Evarts (caryevarts@yahoo.com or call him on 692-458-8045). Wasabi can take you anywhere in and around Majuro or over to nearby Arno Atoll.
The one full-time dive operation, Raycrew, is run by Hiro and is based at the Marshall Islands Resort. Phone (692) 625-2739 or email info@raycrew.jp. His website is: https://raycrew.jp/
For diving in atolls other than Majuro and Arno, the best option is to contact Australian and Marshallese citizen Martin Daly, owner of the Indies Trader fleet of boats. He has a number of boats of varying sizes to take people out diving anywhere in the Marshall Islands, including Bikini Atoll: Indies Trader | Mentawai & Marshall Islands Surf Charters
Note that to dive in the Marshall lslands, you need a permit from the Historic Preservation Office in the Alele Museum and Library building next to the Court House.
