Toeak Bar

Established in 2021, the Toeak Bar & Grill has one of the best views of any restaurant in Majuro. This is because it sits on the fifth floor of the NAPA building near Uliga Dock. From the expansive windows and lanai, you can see both the ocean and the lagoon as well as the layout of the downtown area. And don’t worry about the number of floors: Happily, there is an elevator.

My favorite dish is the Hawaiian Style Poke while my husband usually goes for the Mushroom Swiss Burger and Fries. The seared tuna salad is his next best go-to meal.

The bar serves all types of drinks, including some good wines from New Zealand and Australia. Reservations are not necessary, but if you’re planning on being a big group, you can book at 625-3370. I asked manager Scott Kaminaga for open times and he said: “Our business hours are from 12pm to 12am depending on the crowd. Usually, if its slow and there’s only five customers, we will make a last call. The kitchen opens the same time but closes at 9pm.”
